1956 Ford Thunderbird
Factory-correct restoration

This Thunderbird comes to us from a customer in Borger, Texas. Borger is a small town in the Panhandle region of the state. Borger is a town that is known for production of oil and lots of wind. The semi-arid climate along with a lifetime of garage keeping have preserved this car beautifully. It will definitely need a full restoration, but the car appears to be nearly untouched. It is a third-owner car who's first outing from Borger was yesterday, strapped to the back of a trailer (pulled by a Chevy, no less!) After 52 years of in-town driving, the odometer reads 77,117 miles.

There appears to be little or no rust. Media blasting can change that opinion, but initial inspection reveals some very solid panels. A car that starts out this nice will definitely turn out to be a showpiece. The customer intends to have a factory-correct restoration. Keep watching as we continue along!
